The Institute of Radio Frequency Engineering and Electronics (IHE) is an institute within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the division III - Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The mission of the IHE is to perform research from basic microwave technologies and systems to industrial applications. Our dream is to explore new technologies and finally help bringing them into commercial products. We are working with research grants from DFG, EU, BMFTR, BMWi, AIF, ESA, DLR in cooperation with industry. Our teaching combines the relevant theory with modern technologies and state-of-the-art tools. In our laboratories and workshops, the experimental needs of excellent research and teaching are satisfied by modern high-tech equipment.

MehrWe are happy to be at IMS 2026 in Boston this year. We will present two papers:
Session We2C paper from Selina Eckel “Microwave Probe based on an Inverted Microstrip Line for Broadband Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Spectroscopy” presenting our results from our collaborative research center SFB HyPERiON
and as a late breaking news Session Thu1H paper from Matthias Möck "Single-, Dual- and Octa-Core Millimeter-Wave VCOs with -190 dBc/Hz FOM_T in 22 nm FDSOI CMOS" with great support from GlobalFoundries!
In addition, Prof. Ulusoy will be presenting in two workshops WSL:
Frontiers of G-Band Innovation for Next-Generation Communication and Sensing: From Ultra-High-Speed Devices to Sub-THz Integrated Circuits and Systems WSO: Advances in mm-Wave Phased Array Technologies
Finally, our student Jonas Igel has received MTT-S pregraduate scholarship, so congragulations Jonas, and he will be participating in the Student Design competition!
